George V. Selden, 94, of Duryea, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on September 30, 1931, and was the son of the late George D. Selden and Sophia (Dorn) Selden. George was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish Church, Duryea. He graduated from St James High school in Pittsburgh and joined the United States Coast Guard in 1949. He served during the Korean War and was honorably discharged in 1952.
