Clara S. (Bartocci) Pesotini

Clara S. (Bartocci) Pesotini, 94, of Springbrook Twp., passed away Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Allied Hospice Center in Scranton.  Born in Scranton on August 12, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Emil and Frances (Maciejwski) Bartocci.


Clara was a devoted member of Holy Rosary Church (Nativity of Our Lord Parish), Duryea, and a former member of its Christian Mother’s Society.  She attended Scranton Elementary School and Scranton Technical High School before beginning her career as a seamstress at the Scranton Silk Mill.  Clara worked in the local garment industry for over 30 years and was a proud member of the I.L.G.W.U.


She was deeply devoted to her faith and generously gave her time assisting with many church events.  Clara cherished her family, especially Sunday dinners together.  She was an excellent cook and baker and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Ronald F. “Butch” Pesotini, who passed away on October 18, 2016, and her brother Joseph Bartocci.


She is survived by her sons: Ronald Pesotini, Jr. and his wife, Dawn, of Duryea; Leonard Pesotini and his wife Debbie, of West Pittston; and Dennis Pesotini and his wife Robin, of Stroudsburg. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.


A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 10:00am at Nativity Of Our Lord Parish Church, 127 Stephenson St., Duryea with Fr. Michael Bryant officiating. Friends may call for visitation on Sunday afternoon, February 15, 2026, from 3:00pm – 5:00pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea and Monday morning at the church from 9:00am until the time of mass.  Interment will be held at the Marcy Cemetery, Duryea.
