Mona L. Ramiza

Mona L. Ramiza, 78, of Pittston, passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.  Born on August 21, 1946, in Onnalinda, PA, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Marie (Mutsko) Kause.

Mona was a proud graduate of Pittston Area High School, Class of 1965.  She enjoyed a 23-year career at Topps Chewing Gum, retiring in 1996. 

A spirited traveler Mona loved taking cruises with her Adult Girl Scout Group and many trips with her family. She will be remembered as a loving sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend someone deeply cherished by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, Mona was preceded in death by her brother, William R. Kause and she is now reunited with her beloved dog Clinton.

She is survived by her siblings: Jean and husband Edward Gombita, of Simpson; Marie and husband John Kosinski of Clarks Summit; Terry and his wife Barbara Kause of Pittston; and Monica O’Brien Schneider and husband Richard of Pittston.  Also surviving are her 3 grandchildren, Justin and his wife Amy Ramiza, Wade and wife Melissa Eichenlaub, 6 great grandchildren along with many loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00pm on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea, with Fr. Joseph Elston of Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish Church, officiating.  Friends may call for visitation on Wednesday evening from 5:00pm until time of the service.
