Robert "Bob" Kobylus, 54, of Watkinsville, GA and formerly of Avoca, passed away on January 28, 2026 in GA.

 

Born in Scranton, he was the son of Edward and the late Veronica Kobylus.  Bob graduated from Seton Catholic High School in 1989 and King's College in 1993.

 

After a long career as a Firefighter, EMT and CPR instructor, he opened his own business, Classic City CPR.  Through his business, he empowered hundreds of community members with the skills and confidence to save lives.

 

Family was most important to Bob. He is survived by his wife, Kristine; son, Reese; father, Edward Kobylus, Avoca; sister, Lisa Ostrowski (Joseph), Hughestown; sister-in-law, Melissa Waugh (Jon), GA; nephews, Ted and Michael Ostrowski; Griffin and Parker Waugh. 


He was preceded in death by his mother, Veronica; brother, Edward; grandparents Cecelia and Frank Bartnicki and Stella and Julius Kobylus, all of Avoca.

 

A memorial service was held in Georgia and a private service will be held under the direction of Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC-Pittston.
