Betsy Ann Regis

Betsy Ann Regis, 81, of Moosic, passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026, at the Scranton Health Care Center in Scranton.  Born on October 5, 1944, in West Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Dorothy (Shupp) Breymeier.

Betsy was a graduate of West Pittston High School. Throughout her working years, she was employed by Consolidated Cigar, Preferred Meals, and Techneglas Corporation before retiring from Men’s Warehouse.

She enjoyed weekend getaways with friends and family, playing Tetris and other games on her GameBoy, and most of all, spending her time with her loved ones.   Betsy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Nicholas Alapic, who passed away in 1972; her sister, Marion Shimkoski; and her brothers, Thomas, Donald, and Harry Lee Breymeier.

She is survived by her son, Wally Alapic and his wife Beth, of Avoca; her daughter Christine Brown of Jenkins Twp; her grandchildren, Megan Rodeghiero, Lesley Brown, Nicholas Brown, and Rhiannon Walker; her great grandchildren, Giuseppe, Santino and Camilla Rodeghiero and Calvin and Cooper Hines; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at 7:00pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.  Friends may call for visitation on Thursday from 5:00pm until time of service.
