Dolores Dale
Dolores Dale, 85, of Duryea passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Born in Duryea on October 17, 1940, she was the daughter of Americo and Martha (Jaskulski) Fortini.
Dolores was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Parish in Duryea and attended Duryea High School. She married the love of her life, William Dale Sr., in 1956. During William’s military career, they traveled throughout the country for 20 years. Together, they built a wonderful family and shared 66 years of marriage. Dolores lived for her family. Among her many interests were playing board games with her family—especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren—playing the lottery and bingo and watching game shows and her favorite television programs.
In addition to her husband, William Sr., Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, Americo and Martha Fortini; her brothers, Leo, Americo Jr., and Eugene Fortini; her sister, Anna Misorek; and her beloved grandson, Matthew Klimasiewfski.
She is survived by her children, William Dale Jr. of Avoca, Debbie Collins and her husband, Roy, of Pittston, Michael Dale and his wife, Angela, of Avoca, and Diane Klimasiewfski and her husband, Norman, of Harding; her brother, Leonard Fortini of Wilkes-Barre; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Dolores will be greatly missed by her beloved family and by all who knew her.
A private memorial service will be held for the family.
