John "Jack" Farrell

On March 10, 2025, we lost our hero when the Lord called him home. Jack was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and godfather.

In 1959, he and his bride, Ann Lisi moved from Pittston to Washington, D.C., where Jack was sworn in to the Metropolitan Police Department. He served with dedication for twenty-one years. Along the way they welcomed two daughters.
Upon his retirement in 1980, they moved to Tampa, Florida and then onto Saint Pete Beach, Florida. Jack was an active member of Saint John Vianney Catholic Church. Serving in multiple ministries and he was a member of the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police and Association of Retired Police.
Jack was preceded in death by his mother, Julie Lasky, his father, Matthew Farrell, his sister, Julianna Riggo and two nephews, Danny Sperrazza and Andy Rushton.
He is survived by his wife of sixty-six years, Ann Lisi Farrell, daughters Sharri Honeycutt and her husband, Mike, Christine Graybill and her husband, John. Granddaughters, Holly Maddox and her husband, Daniel, Paige Honeycutt. Great granddaughter, Rylie. Sister-in-law, Francine Sperrazza and her husband Len and nieces and nephews, Jim, Ro, John, Amy, Elisabeth, and Louis.
Jack lived with dignity and he died with dignity. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday March 17, 2025 at 9:30AM in St. Joseph Marello Parish, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 237 William Street, Pittston, PA.
Interment will follow at Denison Cemetery 85 Denison Street, Swoyersville, PA.
The family requests flowers be omitted.
