John Patrick Goham, 62, of Duryea, passed away peacefully at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center on Sunday, May 10, 2026. He was born in Pittston on September 6, 1963, to Edmund and Jean (Keenan) Goham.


John was a graduate of Pittston Area High School, Class of 1981. He retired from Kappa Graphics.

John was an avid lifelong hunter and fisherman who loved being in nature. He was also known for knowing every lyric to every song, especially from the 1980s, as well as every single episode of Seinfeld.


John was preceded in death by his father, Edmund, and his brother, Michael.


He is survived by his mother, Jean; his fiancé, Lynn Girman; his sisters, Patrice (Patty) and Ellen (Lenny); and his brother, Ned (Bonnie). Also surviving are his niece and nephews, his uncle, cousins, and many lifelong friends.


John was a donor to the Gift of Life Program. In lieu of flowers, kindly make donations to the Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 North 3rd St., Philadelphia, PA 19123-4101.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William St., Pittston. Friends may call for visitation on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will be held privately at St. John the Evangelist Cemetery.


Arrangements are entrusted to Kiesinger Funeral Services Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea.
