Joseph M. Granahan, 88, of Pittston, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at home.
Born in Pittston April 26, 1937, he was the son of the late John Granahan and Mary McAndrew Granahan.

He was a graduate of Pittston Township High School and in his early years he worked at Consolidated Cigar Co.
Joe was a kind and gentle person, he loved all sports and especially he was a fan of Notre Dame University.
He was a devoted and lifelong member of St. John the Evangelist Church; he was an usher for 50 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings; sister, Mary Catherine Bannon, and brothers, Jack, Paul, and Charlie Granahan.
He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and
cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 10AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William St., Pittston.
Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
