Kim Lee (McCarty) Mansueto, 65, of Pittston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Allied Hospice Center in Wilkes-Barre.  Born in Atco, NJ, on January 20, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Mark and Leona Lee (Slotwinski) McCarty.

Kim was a 1978 graduate of Cherokee High School, Marlton, NJ.  For many years she worked as a waitress in New Jersey before deciding, in her 40’s, to further her education. She attended Keystone College in Towanda, PA, later earning a full scholarship to Mansfield University, where she graduated with a BSN in nursing. Dedicated to her profession, Kim worked many years at the Bradford County Manor Nursing Center, Burlington, PA.

Nursing was not only her calling, but her compassion extended deeply to her family and animals as well.  While residing in Granville Summit, PA, she owned a small farm and found joy in caring for her horses, ducks, and geese.  She loved the outdoors, sunbathing, and spending time with those she cherished.  Known for her kindness and generosity, Kim was admired as a loving mother and friend, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Michael Mansueto II, and her twin brother Kevin McCarty.

Kim is survived by her children, Michael Mansueto III and his fiancée Laura Marriggi, of Dupont; Kyle Mansueto, of Philadelphia; and Jordin Walker and her husband Trevor of Pittston. She was a proud grandmother of Chase, Mia and Viviana Mansueto and Maxwell Edwards.  Also surviving are her loving life partner of 30 years, Jerome Janoski, her brothers Mark McCarty and his wife Susan of Philadelphia, and Mike McCarty of New Castle, Colorado; her mother-in-law Marie Mansueto of Bangor, PA, sisters-in-law Mary Beth McCarty, of Tuckerton, NJ and Mary Ann Combs, of Bangor, Maine; along with many nieces and nephews.

Kim’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Allied Hospice for their loving care and support they provided during this time.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4th, 2025 at 2:00pm at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Deacon Andre Kabacinski, of Nativity of Our Lord Parish Church, Duryea officiating.  Friends may call for visitation on Saturday, October 4th from 12:30pm until time of services.
