Lindsay Kmetz

Lindsay Kmetz, 42, of Hughestown died on April 18, 2025, at her home following a brief illness. Born in Kingston, she was the daughter of Phyllis and the late Robert Kmetz.

Lindsay was a graduate of Pittston Area High School class of 2001. She worked for the Pittston Area School District food service department for 18 ½ years until her illness. 

Lindsay was a truly giving and loving soul.  Her love of animals, cooking and traveling was her passion.

Lindsay will be sadly missed by her mother, brother, family and everyone her life has touched.

She is preceded in death by her father Robert Kmetz (August 2024).  Her grandparents, Stanley and Isabelle Oliveri and John and Helen Kmetz, aunt Margaret Shipula, Uncle John Kmetz.

She is survived by her family; mother, Phyllis and her brother Christopher, aunts and uncles: Florence (Tony) Palermo, Jean Oliveri, Stanley (Dorice) Oliveri, Joseph (Carm) Oliveri, Ann Marie Alba (Paul), Michael (Cathy) Oliveri, Michelle Sodano (Dee), Mary Ann (Stony) Stonionus and many cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday evening, April 24, 2025, at 6:45 PM at Kiesinger Funeral Services, Inc., 255 McAlpine St., Duryea with Fr. Joseph Elston of St. Joseph Morrello Parish, Pittston officiating. 

Friends and family may call for visitation on Thursday evening from 5 PM until time of service.
