Tracy Jean Tighe, 53, of Pittston passed away Thursday August 6, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.


Born on July 13, 1973, she was the daughter of Gene Tighe and Debbie Tilley Tighe, of Pittston.

Tracy was a graduate of Pittston Area and Wilkes University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology and criminal justice. In her earlier years she had worked for Luzerne County Child and Youth before joining her parents and brother in the family business, GT Fabrication, where she worked as customer relations.


She greatly enjoyed reading and in recent times, reading nearly a book a day, Tracy was a dear friend to many and will be missed by all who knew her.


She was preceded in death by her grandparents; Fred and Margaret Tilley and Will and Katie Tighe, as well as aunts; Helen Golden, Maggie Tigue and Nancy Tighe and uncles; Bobby Golden, Marty Flynn, Mike Tighe and Andrew Sleboda.


In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Gino Tighe, of Plains, and aunts; Joyce Flynn, Dupont, Marilyn Sleboda, Pittston, uncles; John Golden (Theresa), VA, Bill Tighe (Nancy), VA, and James Tighe, Exeter, and many cousins and her dear friends.


The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday August 16, 2026, from 1-3PM at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William St., Pittston.


Tracy’s family would like to thank Dr. Saidman, the entire staff on the 5th floor oncology at Geisinger, the staff at Birchwood Rehab and Healthcare Center, and all the family and friends that helped along the way.
