William R. Buckman

William R. Buckman, 62, of Plains and formerly of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly early Wednesday morning August 19, 2026 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

Bill was the son of the late John Buckman and Patricia Pineno Buckman Musloski. He graduated from Wyoming Area High School.

Bill spent his career in several managerial positions in the local sales industry and retired from Schiel’s Family Market.

He will always be remembered as the life of the party.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers-in-law; Robert Romasiewicz and Joseph Romasiewicz.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Judy Romasiewicz Buckman and their sons, Adam Buckman, Plains, and Brian Buckman and his fiancé Jordan, Pittsburgh.

He is also survived by his brothers; Steve Buckman (Lisa), Riverside CA., Rick Buckman (Diane), Dallas PA, and sister, Patty Latona (Joe), Exeter, sisters-in-law; Mary McCabe (Mike), West Pittston, Ann Badyrka (Mark), West Pittston, and Ruth Nole (Donato), Bloomsburg, and brother-in-law, Dave Romasiewicz, Pittston, and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great- nephews.

The family will receive friends and relatives Friday August 21, 2026 from 5-7PM at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William St., Pittston.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday August 22, 2026 at 9:30AM in Ss. Peter and Paul 13 Hudson Rd., Plains. Those wishing to attend are asked to go directly to the church on Saturday morning.
