Charles A. Karcutskie, Jr., 92, of West Wyoming passed away peacefully Wednesday June, 25, 2025 at home, surrounded by his family.

Raised in West Wyoming, he was the son of the late Charles A. Karcutskie, Sr. and Mary Postupak Karcutskie.

Charles was a graduate of West Wyoming High School where he was a standout athlete in both football and basketball. He was offered a four-year scholarship to George Washington University to play football.  He honorably served in the United States Army and spent 35 years in the Army Reserve, achieving the rank of First Sergeant. He retired from Tobyhanna Army Depot, where he worked as a mechanical engineering technician. After retirement, he enjoyed and took pride in working at Four Seasons Golf Course and Fox Hill Country Club.

He was very active in coaching and later in supporting his children and grandchildren in all their sports and activities. He enjoyed golfing, gardening, playing cards for many years with his cherished “card club”, and tackling any home improvement project or home repair that was needed.  With a roll of duct tape, a shoelace, and a clothes pin, he could fix just about anything.

Most of all, he was a family man and worked tirelessly to ensure the success and well-being of his wife and their children. He believed in hard work, honesty, and integrity…and approached life with these fundamental values as the foundation for everything else. Together with his wife Beatrice, they built an incredible family through sacrifice, dedication, and unconditional love.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Beatrice Leone Karcutskie and their children; Dr. Charles A. Karcutskie, III (Linda), West Wyoming, Cheryl Liples (Gary), Royal Palm Beach FL., Suzanne Kunkle, West Wyoming, Lynn Jones, Exeter, Michael Karcutskie (Andrea), Harding, Dr. Mark A. Karcutskie (Nadine Jones), Dallas, Joseph A. Karcutskie (Maria), Duryea. Also surviving are grandchildren; Stephanie, Dr. Charles A. IV, Kirby, Lea, Alyssa, DJ, Annie, Mia, Olivia, Carmella, Mark, Gianna, Luke, Kayla, and Tyler; (10) great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Rosanne Olechna (Raymond), Pittston and numerous nieces and nephews.

On behalf of Mom and the entire family, we would like to especially thank his daughter Suzanne for her amazing care and comfort provided for the past eight years. Her sacrifice and selfless love made this incredible journey possible.  We are forever grateful.
